Round up of 2019
It’s been an exciting year in the Housing Partners offices, with launches of new systems throughout 2019 and live releases to existing products keeping our development team very busy! This year alone, we have completed 77 releases across just four of our core products.
And there’s much more that’s been going on behind the scenes…As 2019 draws to a close, we’re taking the opportunity to look back at some of our highlights of the year.
Launch of AIMLogic
We were very excited back in July, to launch our income management solution, AIMLogic in partnership with Manchester and Cardiff-based housing associations, ForHousing and Taff Housing. The solution was designed to minimise the risk of rental arrears by automatically classifying tenancies into case types to be prioritised and assigned to officers within an income team.
We have felt incredibly lucky to have been able to develop AIMLogic in collaboration with those working in the sector, which has meant that the solution is uniquely placed to function in a way that truly supports income management teams. On the manner in which AIMLogic has been developed, Justin Freeman, Director of Income Maximisation at ForHousing speaks for all of us when he says: “It’s empowering, it’s engaging, it’s motivating.”

Over £1m saved to the public purse
Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing started using our TAIM InSight system in 2017 and we are incredibly proud to say that as of December 2019, using InSight to identify tenancy fraud, they have now saved a total of over £1m to the public purse!
With estimations of tenancy fraud costing the public purse around £900m every year, this saving over 18 months has been phenomenal to see. In total, Metropolitan Thames Valley were able to identify 93 proven cases of tenancy fraud using the InSight solution.
Chris Whiteman, Strategic Debt Manager at Metropolitan Thames Valley has told us, “The InSight solution enabled the business to focus on high priority cases resulting in clear success. InSight is an important tool for helping us identify tenancy fraud.”

At the end of 2018, we launched our free Duty to Refer module, ALERT as part of the Housing Jigsaw suite of modules – and the uptake of it across the local authority sector and their partner agencies has been better than we could ever have hoped for!
Throughout 2019 we saw ALERT taken up by 1,332 organisations as either specified bodies or wider agencies making referrals, including A&E departments, Jobcentres, Mental Health, Probation Services and more! In total there are now 6,600 registered individual users – all working towards ensuring a more joined up approach to preventing homelessness.
EHR & ATLAS
We are proud to say that in 2019, our first EHR and ATLAS customers went live! EHR, our Enhanced Housing Register enables local authorities to manage an extensive register online in partnership with local providers, while ATLAS, our Advert to Let Allocation System is an enhanced Choice Based Lettings system that records and monitors all wider lettings.
We’re very happy to say that we now have 9 organisations live on EHR and ATLAS and 7 more in the implementation phase. We’re looking forward to having these customers – and more – up and running in 2020!
Launch of SwapTracker
We started the year developing our brand new system, SwapTracker, which launched in April of this year. SwapTracker provides an end-to-end mutual exchange management system that follows through the process from our leading mutual exchange platform, HomeSwapper.
The solution has been designed to streamline the admin process involved in a swap and ensures that both landlords and tenants are kept up to date throughout the entirety of the process. Since launch we have now had 43 landlords sign up to use SwapTracker!
HomeSwapper tenant Help Centre
In March we launched our help centre site for HomeSwapper tenants, HomeSwapper.me – a space that our swappers could visit to make sure they’re using the HomeSwapper site to its fullest extent.
Complete with tips and advice on mutual exchange, ‘how to’ guides giving detailed instructions on using HomeSwapper, and step-by-step videos for using key HomeSwapper functions, the site has so far seen over 188,600 visitors since its launch!
Just last month we launched HomeSwapper Ireland in Cork City and Dublin City. As a dedicated service for social tenants in the Republic of Ireland, we look forward to developing this service with both Cork City and Dublin City!
As you can see, it’s been a very busy, but equally exciting year at the Housing Partners offices. We can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store for us and our customers!
